At times during the day our little backyard is so full of birds that the ground teems with movement, the bald cherry tree is adorned with birds like a Christmas tree with ornaments. Wings flit through the air and the feeders are full of hungry beaks.
I sit with a cup of coffee and let myself become blissfully distracted by their beautiful and sometimes comical movements.

This made me laugh! Birds are fun to watch. I'm with the crazy mountain finch :-) Refinement is for the birds. Oh wait that doesn't work. Ha!
ReplyDeletebirds always make me think of my mom - she loves them. has all kinds of feeders for them in the yard too and sits and watches.. i like watching with her when i'm home. :)
ReplyDeleteit warmed up a bit here the past few days and when i woke up yesterday morning i immediately noticed the birds chirping outside and realized i hadn't heard them in a long time. reminded me of spring. can't wait!! :))
I don't know a thing about birds but my daughter is watching them for a school project. Might have to show her this post. :)
ReplyDeleteI tried commenting on this yesterday but my phone was acting up. Anyway, I love the bird pictures. Watching the birds is such a sweet, simple pleasure from God, isn't it?
